Timber from local woodland is delivered to our farm where it is stacked. We use mainly mixed hardwoods, such as beech, ash, sycamore, oak and birch, which are all renowned for their burning qualities.

The wood is then loaded onto our state-of-the-art, computerised, wood-processing machine, which cuts and splits the timber into logs. All the logs go over a filter system so bark shavings and sawdust are removed, leaving a clean product.

Our standard sized log is approximately 9” (25cm) long, good for all types of fires and wood burning stoves.

Once the drying process is complete, the firewood is measured out into cubic metres and loaded onto our tipper trailers for delivery as and when required.

Delivery:

We can normally deliver your order within 24 hours. We aim to deliver on a weekend when most customers are at home.

Delivery is free within a 15 mile radius of the farm, subject to a minimum order of 2 Cubic Metres or more. We will deliver smaller amounts locally, but such deliveries may incur a delivery charge which will be confirmed before delivery is agreed.

We will deliver the logs and drop them wherever you request assuming our tipper can be manoeuvred into the space.

Why do we sell Square Metre rather than Dumpy Bag?

A standard Dumpy Bag from other suppliers will generally be an 800mm square bag, this means that it will hold approximately 0.512 metre cubed of logs.

When comparing both size and price this will generally mean that 2 Dumpy bags will give you just over 1 metre cubed of Logs, therefore if you buy 1 metre cubed of loose logs at a cost of £200 the equivalent in dumpy bags would be £260 plus delivery.
